Elisa Palomino began a passionate love affair with fashion while rummaging through her eccentric grandmother’s house and stumbling upon all sorts of strange and exotic accouterments. From playing dress-up in the attic to getting a masters from Central Saint Martins College of Art, Elisa followed her heart and it lead to the catwalk.
" The only real elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it."Diana Vreeland
Before flying solo, elisa worked at moschino. her already very refined sense of whimsy went well with the boldly irreverent style of this unique italian institution. afterwards she moved to paris where she served as the head of studio at John galliano and also collaborated with the christian dior’s haute couture department.
" The dress must not hang on the body but follow its lines. it must accompany its wearer and when a woman smiles the dress must smile with her."Vionnet
In 2008 Elisa left the “old continent” to become vice president of design for Diane Von Furstenberg in New York City. Armed with her valuable international and high-level experiences elisa decided that it was time to give a platform to her own distinctive craft in February 2011, when she introduced her first gorgeous and exotic collection that is heavily influenced by the colors and prints of Japonisme.
