Fashion and Interiors at Middlesex University brings together active practitioners from the industry and cutting-edge design houses in London in a creative community.
The facilities in the fashion and textiles workshops, housed within the School of Art and Design, attract some of the most promising clothing designers and makers to Middlesex University to study their craft. The workshops are equipped with industrial sewing machines and overlockers, state-of-the-art press and heat press equipment and a number of specialist machines for working with different fabrics using a range of techniques.
Fashion at Middlesex enjoys an international reputation for creative excellence. The programmes have strong fashion industry links and stage catwalk shows and events throughout the academic year culminating in the degree show in the centre of London. Their teaching staff are all active practitioners in the Fashion industry and cutting-edge design houses. Many of their students graduate to work for leading fashion houses or set up their own design companies in the UK and around the world.
